I judged each instance based on the quality of the car and how crazy of a scenario it was. Here’s my list, from least insane to most insane: #10: 3 Aventadors in Miami This was just a random, regular Wednesday afternoon in Miami-in fact, it was in the most “dead” week there during the year. My family and I were driving around and happened to come across 2 customer Aventadors and 1 dealer-owned one. Needless to say, it was something I was NOT expecting at all, and that’s why this earned a very respectable #10. #9: 2 Lamborghini Diablo GTRs on public roads This scene made the list because of both car quality and wildness of the moment. There are only 25 Diablo GTRs made, none were street legal, and only 1 was made in “Monterey Blue.” At this event, I saw 2 driving up and down the street and accelerating onto the freeway. Definitely a once in a lifetime thing. #8: Ferrari Enzo and Maserati MC12 Corsa I was in Chicago with family and while there we decided to pass time by stopping by a dealership in Lake Forest, Ill. I looked at the online inventory and wasn’t “WOWed” but I figured it was worth going. Little did we know, a client had brought his Enzo and MC12 Corsa to the dealership for service. Thanks to her excellent performance as well as the mechanical set up and the innovative 4RM system, the Gran Turismo from Maranello entertained and thrilled the former World Champion on a spectacular track with ups and downs and challenging corners, passing the test with a top grade. Here’s a video showing the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S models extensively in motion. The footage was evidently shot in Eastern California (we spotted the road sign designating Hwy 120) but the cars are still wearing German license plates. Porsche likes to point out that this next-generation 911 is made up of components 90 percent of which are completely new or have been fundamentally revised.
