some might think the Aston is better looking (and i agree) but it dosen’t hold a candle to porsche engineering.

@omidool First time I saw the Panamera I also thought it looked ugly but know I changed my mind. I think it’s not a beauty but there are a lot more cars that look much uglier.

I think the Aston looks just strange…like a long DB9. I prefer the Panamera.

the porsche is more practical and cheap, just whether you are willing to more to be less ugly instead… The aston certainly looks more exotic

Absolutely.
Personally I always have a very strong consideration for the look of the car, Panamera is really ugly and although Rapide is not a best looking Aston but still is much much more beautiful than Panamera. I would definitely go for the Aston.

the comments about the bias of the ‘journos’ is 100% correct. autocar has ZERO credibility after seeing this. you can pick a car all you want based on subjective dreck but the porsche destroyed this tata martin and as always, the aston will prove to be unreliable. I dont much care for the panamera but after seeing it in white and seeing it win convincingly I would consider it if I were rich and I could get better rims. autocar: EPIC FAIL

If I had the money, I’d pick the Aston any day.
I always find ridiculous how the British press will try to defend the British cars in front of the competition. Competition that usually creams those cars.
So in Panamera 4 people can travel in great comfort and is much, much faster than a Rapide with only the driver in it. Well done Aston.

Quite strange that in every Auto Car test British cars have bad performance but somehow the host declares them do be winners. It is kind of nationalism.
Lets face it. Rapide uses old DB9 technology. It has a bit better lines but how can you buy Aston Martin. Every time when you see Panamera passing, you realize, that you brought the second best car.
