    lol

  2. the car is nice but not for that price

  3. I feel you, man. When it comes to cars like this, you kinda have to wonder. Sure, when you are talking about cars like the BMW 3/5-series’ or the Caddy CTS, practicality and cost can be an issue. But when you are talking about things at the Aston level, cost and practicality should not really be an issue (if you can afford a $200k car, you should be able to get another car for more boring things like hauling the kids around).

  4. Maybe you only notice the people who are tall because the “short” (aka under 6ft) people because you can’t see them. I know I’m 5’10″ and I feel like the only people shorter than me are really short guys and women. Damn you, mom, for giving me short-person genes!

  5. It’s mostly image and prestige. Besides, they are spending their own money. Why should you care what they waste it on?

I know if I were that rich and I was in that market, I’d be getting a DB9 or Maserati GranTurismo. Still got a back seat and supple ride with tons of comfort but the gran tourer coupes are a bit smaller and sexier than their sedan (sorry, saloon to the Brits) cousins.

  6. Yea, I’m a dork. I just thought it was funny because it sounded like you considered people under 6 feet to be smurfs or something, lol.

It’s actually 3.9% that are at least 6’2”, not 6’0”. Even so, I can’t tell the difference from 5’10” or 6’2” just by looking.

Oh and buddy… heightism (it’s an actual thing) is illegal in Michigan, Santa Cruz, CA, San Francisco, CA, Washington D.C., Ontario, Canada, Victoria, Australia, and pending in Massachusetts. Be careful man, lol…

  7. @buttnut1080 It’s all about personal taste in the end, you can’t blame the people who love an Aston and its sexy lines and materials…..its an emotional buy, lol

  8. @buttnut1080 its an aston dude, your paying for the badge

  9. This car is so unnecessary. Why would anyone, even a rich person, pay 200 grand for a sedan? Its so pointless. Sedans are not meant to be sportscars yet these companies are trying to change that. I know I would much rather have a gallardo 550-2 or a 458 italia than a rapide. What’s wrong with an audi rs4 or an s6 as an everyday sedan? Nothing thats what. Both of those are better performers than the rapide and are more practical.

  10. I am glad you caught the humor!

I find a lot of humor in the fact that I inspired a little internet research tangent. The Netherlands thing cracks me up. I would figure Italy or Greece would be more likely to lie about height.

Other than that, I think 3.9 is a little low for the U.S. I am about six feet, maybe 6’1″ and I swear at least 20% of guys I see in public are taller than I am.

I am glad I am not taller though, I fit perfectly in most cars, but not by much.

  11. I thought your comment was funny, so just for curiosity, I looked into the average height of countries in the world. The Netherlands is the only country that says it has a 6 ft average height, but it’s self-reported. In the U.S., only 3.9% are over 6 feet tall.

  12. There are no “real” adults under six feet tall.

not a fan of so called “sedan sports cars”… call me old school, but i like sports cars to be either coupes or convertibles. that being said, this aston looks pretty good.

  14. SEXY

  15. Yes, being able to buy a Panamera also implies living in a fantasy world.

  16. It looks brilliant! But does it really take 5.1sec from 0-60? Expected a bit more from a 200k V12 car.

  17. So Seductive.

  18. awesome, sexy and beautiful.

It gave me a new idea for custom headlights too.

The problem with the argument you make is that you cannot “take this over the…Panamera anyday” if, on that day, you cannot afford the $200K asking price.

  20. The so beautiful, definitely outdid Porsche

Damn sexy car right there where is my checkbook lol.

  22. It’s gorgeous.

  23. First four-door for Aston my ass! What about the Lagonda? I’d take this over the stupid looking Panamera anyday even if the Panamera is cheaper and faster. Cars that look this nice no longer exist only in dreams. There’s got to be an easy way to make $201,000 that I just haven’t thought of…

  24. i wish i can drive this car,not own it…

    hey,watch official ‘ Porsche Cayenne 2011′ on my channel..thanks

  25. incredible car…but for the money, i would still go for the panamera turbo….and pocket 70 000$ and that’s before tax.
i think i’d rather have a cayenne gts + a panamera turbo over the aston….even though the aston is more beautiful!
