True, but Hyundai is a Korean brand. Plus, Lexus is a brand based off of an existing Japanese brand that was introduced in the American market. I know from personal experience that if you ask people who owns Lexus, many will reply that it’s its own company, so people averse to buying a Toyota will still sometimes buy a Lexus. But the Hyundai is still going to be a Hyundai, and there are a LOT of people who flat out refuse to buy a Hyundai in any form, let alone a ~$60,000 Hyundai.
